About Us
Who We Are
Founded in Osaka in 2021, Kabushiki Kaisha Tenshin (Tenshin Trading) is a boutique trading company dedicated to bringing Japanese culture to the world.
The kanji "展" (ten) means "to expand," and "新" (shin) means "new value." True to the name, we license and distribute IP created by Japanese artists, studios and craftspeople into overseas markets — with North America as our primary focus.
In 2024 we launched our overseas-facing D2C brand "Hoshiyo (星夜)" — a direct-to-fan channel built specifically for North American anime enthusiasts. We plan to bring additional cultural brands to market in the years ahead.
